This is a picture of Poplar Grove Church. They have a great program there on Wednesday nights called the AWANA program. We go there each week from 6 to 8 pm and the kids learn scripture, do arts & crafts, play games and enjoy a night with their friends. Go to AWANA.org to see if there is a church in your area that has the awana program. It is only 50 cents a week and they LOVE it!! My little ones - even Kenny have memorized a lot of scripture already.

Jessie got a new big girls bike for her birthday!

Frosting always tastes best on a warm candle :)

Then Ricky snuck up and stole some frosting off the side!

She liked tha candles so much she ended up putting them all on her cake. But, then again it IS her cake :)
Aaawwww Man! Empty!!! (I'm thinkin' lick your hand!!)

Kenny really likes to help.

Jessie got to decorate her own cake, most of the frosting made it on the cake :)

We went to Granny and Grandaddy's house for Jessie's birthday.

This is our pantry area. It has been a challenge for me because the area is narrow and deep. I pulled out the big white shelf (another like the one at the top of this picture) and installed a bunch of pre-measured shelves on the left for more storage. Now my ladder and vacuum even fit! Thanks mom for the do-it-yourself inspiration!!
This is the huge stump that was left over from the dead tree.
This area used to be part of the huge dog pen. Ricky and I pulled up all the fence posts and moved them. Now we have a nice sitting area!
This area is right in front of my swing. It used to be a driveway - a circular driveway around a flowerbed. We raked up most of the gravel and made a walkway to the door. Then put down more dirt and Chris happily seeded the area.

Here are a few pictures of the countryside. I love being here when the leaves change.

Just one more??

Since we moved into our little neighborhood our swingset is very busy! It is the only one on our street. It's funny the things you take for granted when you don't think about how blessed you are. God is so good!

You know Kenny had to get a balloon. We had a great day!

This is an original Homestead house on display, fully restored to 1930's condition. There is a museum on the inside we will explore another day - after a good nap!

This is the top of the stairs, a very narrow hole.

Once the leaves start turning this would be a great place for some pictures.
Views from the top.

There were 97 steps up to the top. We had to wait on dad, but he made it.
Here is another shot of the tower. We decided to go to the top for a look.
I did not get to try mine on until we got home - but here it is! Matches my apple kitchen just perfect :)
The festival was full of arts & crafts booths. Jessie and I found beautiful bonnets.
We ate lunch on the lawn right below the tower. How pretty! These rock buildings are just amazing.
Ricky was not up for the bounce houses, he was feeling a little under the weather today.
Here comes Kenny in blue.
