You know Kenny had to get a balloon. We had a great day!

This is an original Homestead house on display, fully restored to 1930's condition. There is a museum on the inside we will explore another day - after a good nap!

This is the top of the stairs, a very narrow hole.

Once the leaves start turning this would be a great place for some pictures.
Views from the top.

There were 97 steps up to the top. We had to wait on dad, but he made it.
Here is another shot of the tower. We decided to go to the top for a look.
I did not get to try mine on until we got home - but here it is! Matches my apple kitchen just perfect :)
The festival was full of arts & crafts booths. Jessie and I found beautiful bonnets.
We ate lunch on the lawn right below the tower. How pretty! These rock buildings are just amazing.
Ricky was not up for the bounce houses, he was feeling a little under the weather today.
Here comes Kenny in blue.

Jessie & Kenny really liked the bounce houses too.

There were lots of ways to burn off the excess energy too.

This machine grinds whole kernels of corn into cornmeal.

I would like to see this one working out in the field.
They had some really nice tractors on display too.

All the kids got to ride on this cute bucket ride!

Today, Saturday September 27th our family went to the Homesteads Apple Festival right here in Crossville. We had a great time! You can look at the website for pictures of the tower at:

Painting Kitchen

Here is a picture of the Kitchen/dining room area. The boys loved the busy colors, but the words "hellter skelter" came to my mind! When you are in the room you just can't relax!

So, here is a picture of the new warm color. Much nicer! I will still need to finish the bar and put up a matching border, but it really brings out the pictures.

We made a cupcake tree for his birthday cake for something different. He loved it!

New Home

We are finally moved - yeah! This sign was made years ago by Chris' dad for his father (Chris' grandfather). It hung over their doorway in Ocoee, FL for over 30 years.

Here is my little garden area.

My first gazing ball.

My kitchen is full of apples and gingerbread men.

Here is my craft corner - with my mom for inspiration.

And here is the computer desk area.
